Thank you to everyone who attended the 43rd Southern District AGM on Friday 28th February at Kendal Rugby Club. It was great evening with some excellent speeches and a chance for everyone to celebrate the district’s successes and achievements over the past year. The district also took the opportunity to remember and pay tribute to our much missed Southern District YFC Honorary Life Vice President, Mrs Dorrie Galbraith and Mr David Knipe by holding a minute’s applause as a mark of respect.

After the election of new officers, awards were presented with Mrs Gillian Potts presenting the new RABI trophy to Broughton YFC for being the club which raised the most money for an external charity.
The new Armstrong Watson Community Engagement Award also went to Broughton YFC for the work they undertook in their local community.
Southern District Treasurer, Mr Stephen Rowlinson was delighted to present the Raymond Rowlinson Memorial Trophy (21 and under) to Aidan Handley for the second year running.
